There are people who say: “it's only a cat (or a dog)” but anyone who knows the bond between animals and humans knows that this is a deep connection, physically, mentally, spiritually…

Cat Sh!t Crazy is a dark comedy about the search for love, finding it with two rescue kittens from the shelter, losing it, and, in that loss, discovering a new reality.

🐾.   🐾     🐾

First written, performed and produced in 2019 under the direction of David J. Harper, Cat Sh!t Crazy played to sold-out houses at the Whitefire Solofest and Santa Monica Binge Fringe Festival, and won a 2019 Best of Audience Award and Audience Sweet Award from Better Lemons.

In 2020, under the direction of Ann Noble, Cat Sh!t Crazy was live-streamed on YouTube as part of the Santa Monica Binge Fringe Festival with over 170 views. COVID being COVID, Cindy and Ann revamped the show, blocking and rehearsing entirely on Zoom, including tech rehearsal. They also became fast friends, did play readings online and…. FUN FACT: Cindy and Ann didn’t meet in person until 2022! And now, in 2023, Cindy and Ann are back together in person and taking on a much-edited, Edinburgh Fringe-friendly, fast-paced wild ride of a show. Meowzers!

After being a multi-cat owner, rescuer and volunteer in Los Angeles for over 25 years, this is my opportunity to reach out to fellow cat lovers so that we can work together to reduce the stray, feral, and outdoor cat populations, and inspire people to take action by adopting a cat or getting involved in animal rescue.

As you can imagine, it is a huge expense to take a show abroad for an entire month and if you can’t, it is well over $25, 000.  To cover some of the costs and to be able to give discounts to rescue groups and shelters in Edinburgh, I’ve set up a SeedAndSpark campaign.  My goal is to raise $10,000 and I’m almost there!

Please consider donating if you can. The campaign will end on July 29th. Any contribution is greatly appreciated: https://seedandspark.com/fund/cat-sht-crazy-goes-to-edinburgh-fringe#story

Part of the proceeds from each of my shows have gone to specific animal resuce groups. With Cat Sh!t Crazy I’ll be connecting with cat rescue organizations and clinics in Edinburgh.

Cindy D’Andrea is an actor, writer, producer, fitness expert, and lover of all things cats. She has been featured in commercials, infomercials, TV, film, web series and print, including twice in Italian Vogue, and was a prominent member of The Actor’s Gang for many years. She’s written, produced and performed three solo shows( a cat trilogy!), the third being CAT SH!T CRAZY, which won a Best of Audience Award and Audience Sweet Award from Better Lemons. As an animal rescuer and volunteer for over 25 years, Cindy has seen all too often what happens when animals are not cared for. In 2016, she started writing solo shows to not only honor her four cats, but to raise the consciousness while "edutaining" that animals (specifically cats) are worthy of being saved. She dedicates her performance to Tabatha, Samantha, Spencer and Tallulah. More info here: https://www.imdb.me/cindydandrea, https://cindydandrea.wixsite.com/cindy-d-andrea
